SANTA’S KIDS
NON-PROFIT WEBSITE DESIGN, EVENTS & ONLINE DONATIONS
Santa’s Kids is a non-profit charity that provides warm clothing, food and gifts to children and their families in the Monroeville PA area. Although presents are distributed at Christmas, the children and families have needs year-round. To better meet those needs, Santa’s Kids board members wanted a simple one-page website with the ability to promote charity events and accept donations online. As a result of the website launch and ease in accepting monetary gifts online, over 200 families and 500 children were able to celebrate a bountiful Christmas last year. Donations in 2016 increased 110% over the prior year and continue to grow as awareness increases.
Santa’s Kids is an amazing opportunity to support the Pittsburgh community and Elpis Digital Marketing is proud to volunteer their time and services to help local children and their families celebrate Christmas with gifts, warm clothing and groceries.
SKILLS UTILIZED:
CONCEPTUAL DESIGNS
Responsive Website
Santa’s Kids realized the importance of having an internet presence and were excited to share their message online. According to recent research by Google, 50% of web traffic occurs on mobile phones and tablets. Aware of this growing trend, Santas’s Kids felt that it was a top priority to ensure their content was accessible on all devices.
Events Calendar
Charity events account for the majority of donations to Santa’s Kids. Making those events accessible online has the potential to expand their reach so they can aid more needy children and their families. The event application for Santa’s Kids includes event scheduling, maps & driving directions, as well as integration into iCal or Google calendars.
Online Donations
The ability to receive donations online made it easier for businesses and individuals to contribute. After implementation of PayPal, online payments have continued to grow steadily and account for 30% of monetary donations. The ease and convenience have attracted many new donors that were previously unaware of or unable to attend events.
