LAKEWOOD RESORTS
WEBSITE REDESIGN, MEMBERS ACCESS PORTAL & BRAND REFRESH
Lakewood Resorts, a timeshare resort located on scenic Deep Creek Lake in Maryland, had a website created in 2006 on a retired freeware version of Sharepoint that was set to be terminated by Microsoft. This meant updating the website was both time-sensitive and imperative to maintaining an online presence. From a branding perspective, Lakewood Resorts’ only brand identity was featured on an entrance sign at the resort. Recognizing a need to leverage the power of the internet, Lakewood chose to expand their members-focused content to include resort sales information and modernize the brand identity to appeal to a new generation of buyers.
Streamlined and modern, the updated branding retained the sailboat and utilized similar typography while conveying a sense of relaxation and traditional sensibility like the resort itself. Mobile-optimized, the Lakewood website was designed to act as a source of information for both potential buyers as well as timeshare owners. Access to member information and resources is now restricted to resort owners allowing Lakewood to leverage advances in technology for private communications.

“All I can say is WOW. The website Ange at Elpis Digital Marketing created for us is so much better than what we had before. When we had the old website, we never had people contact us over the internet about buying a timeshare. Now we are getting so many internet leads that Ange had to help us design a follow-up strategy and templates. We are so happy and will continue to use Ange and Elpis Digital Marketing to help us moving forward.”
